What are the TOP900 default settings (KB1326)

This document describes the TOP900 default settings for a LumInsight DT lighting network.

A new un-commissioned TOP900 will send device discovery message every 5 minutes.  LumInsight DT records these discovery messages which you can view. Once the TOP900 is commissioned it no longer sends out the Device discovery message and uses the group schedule configured in LumInsight DT.  Decommissioning the device in LumInsight DT will not cause the TOP900 to start sending the device discovery messages.
 
Factory Default Setting:
1. TOP900 is scheduled to run as a Photocell until commissioned
2. Device discovery message are sent by device every 5 minutes until commissioned
3. Hardware failure defaults to Lights ON.
 
To list devices sending discovery message in LumInsight DT, click "Database > View Device Discovery Messages".
 
The TOP900 has a flashing red LED, which can be seen through the photocell window, that indicates that the main process board is running.  The red LED light is very faint so you may only see it when looking at it very close (less than a foot) from the TOP900 and is normally not noticeable during daylight. 
 
You can set the TOP900 back to factory defaults, but this can't be done with the TOP900 plugged into the fixture.  A Lumewave USB Programmer, a Lumewave USB Radio or Gateway, and LumInsight DT are needed to set the TOP900s back to factory defaults.  The USB Programmer plugs into the bottom of the TOP900 and powers the TOP900 using the Laptops USB port. 
 
Setting TOP900 back to Factory Defaults:
1. USB radio or IP Gateway: Commission the TOP900 with group schedule that only has a single event with level set to 10 (or wanted level) with Photocell checked.
    - You may want to decommission/reset device ID so that you don’t accidently recommission the device again.
2. USB programmer: clear IDs in TOP900s "Diagnostics > Clear Unit IDs (USB Programmer)"
